More Information (Ouse Valley Radio is not responsible for external websites)
Join us to dissect an owl pellet with the family at the Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre in Ramsey Heights. Pellets have been retrieved from the Great Fen and you will discover which species our local owls have been hunting! Our conservation team uses this data to understand the small mammal population and health of our birds of prey. We will carefully break up the pellet, clean and compile the skeletons inside and identify which species they belong to. Make use of our digital microscope for a more detailed view.
All materials will be provided for you. After the pellet investigation, we will take you on a nature walk around Ramsey Heights Nature Reserve to explore some of the flora and fauna that call this reserve home. Refreshments will be included.
Pre-booking is essential.
Please see the website for full event terms and conditions.
For more information, please contact the Great Fen Team on: 01487 815524, info@greatfen.org.uk.
